Based on this bill, travel expenses incurred by assigned personnel and
related to providing disaster assistance would be exempted from a state
agency's travel cap. Similarly, any temporary personnel hired to
provide disaster assistance to political subdivisions, would not be
counted against a state agency's cap on full-time equivalent positions
for as long as the disaster field office remained operational.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
