The bill would amend the repeat and habitual felony offenders provision
of the Penal Code by including offenses under the laws of another state,
or an offense under a law of this state for which the Penal Code section
number or offense name has changed.  The bill would also allow enhanced
punishment under the repeat and habitual felony offenders provision of
the Penal Code for certain theft offenses.
  
Local Government Impact
  
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
