The bill would delete the current requirement that when a municipality enters into a tax abatement agreement, the other taxing units must execute a tax abatement agreement with the owner no later than the 90th day after the date that the municipal agreement was executed. The bill would reword current language concerning the statutory requirements for any tax abatement agreements. Local Government Impact Because the bill only would address procedural provisions in the law, there would be no fiscal impact to units of local government.
