Local Government Impact

The bill would authorize a county to regulate land development after a
local option election. Based on the per registered voter cost from a
sampling of cities and counties, the average statewide cost per
registered voter for an election is $0.91. Other than the cost of an
election, it is not anticipated that counties would incur a significant
fiscal impact by implementing the provisions of the bill.
