         Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on General Government,  
         met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Heflin, at 8:03 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Luna, Vilma; Pickett; Puente  
                   (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Flores (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:46 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m., January 30, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:34 p.m. and was called to order by  
         Representative Heflin.

                   (5). 
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present.
