         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government, met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Heflin, at 7:34 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Pickett; Puente (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Flores; Luna, Vilma (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:37 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House Floor,  
         February 14, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:30 a.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Heflin. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Pickett; Puente (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Luna, Vilma (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 11:38 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m., February 14, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:54 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Heflin. The roll was answered as  
         follows:

                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Flores (1).
