         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 8, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education, Subcommittee on  
         Education, met in a formal meeting and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:05 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Delisi; Gutierrez; Mowery  
                   (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Giddings (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         The subcommittee met to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for Article  
         III. 
          
         (Representative Giddings now present.) 
          
         At 10:00 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House, March  
         12, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 12:15 p.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Delisi; Giddings; Mowery  
                   (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Gutierrez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         The subcommittee met to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for Article  
         III.

         At 12:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
