Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 11,
2001, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Brimer, at 11:45 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Woolley (5).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; Corte; George; Solomons (4).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 560.
Representative Brimer moved that SB 560, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Brimer; Davis, John; Elkins;
Giddings; Woolley (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; Corte; George; Solomons
(4).
SB 1740
The chair laid out SB 1740.
Representative Brimer offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Brimer moved that SB 1740, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Brimer; Davis, John; Elkins;
Giddings; Woolley (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).

At 11:46 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
