Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,
2001, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the acting chair,
Representative Dukes at 12:08 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Dukes; Corte; Giddings; Solomons;
Woolley (5).
Absent: Representatives Brimer; Davis, John; Elkins; George
(4).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1834.
The chair recognized Representative Solomons to explain the
measure.

Representative Dukes moved that SB 1834, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Dukes; Corte; Davis, John;
Giddings; Solomons; Woolley (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Brimer; Elkins; George (3).
At 12:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
