The House Committee on Redistricting 77th Legislature March 20, 2001 6:00 p.m. Capitol Extension, Auditorium, Room E1.004 Pursuant to a notice posted on March 13, 2001, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Jones, Delwin, at 6:00 p.m. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Jones, Delwin; Glaze; Bosse; Counts; Dunnam; Grusendorf; Keel; Luna, Vilma; McClendon; Moreno, Paul; Pitts; Sadler (12). Absent: Representatives Hunter; Marchant; Wilson (3). A quorum was present. The Chair welcomed the audience to the hearing. (Representative Hunter now present.) (Representative Wilson now present.) (Representative Marchant now present.) David Hanna, Texas Legislative Council presented information on parameters guiding redistricting of the Texas House of Representatives. Dr. Steve Murdock of the Texas Data Center answered members questions on the Census. Jeff Archer, Texas Legislative Council answered members questions on redistricting issues.
