Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17,
2001, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Bosse, at 5:58 p.m.

The chair laid out SB 1288 as pending business.
Representative Clark moved that SB 1288, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Martinez Fischer; Smithee (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Janek; Nixon, Joe; Zbranek (3).

The chair laid out SB 1654 as pending business.
Representative Hope moved that SB 1654, as amended, be reported
favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do
pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following
record vote:
