         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 27, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Constitutional Revision, Select met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Driver, at 2:17 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Driver; Puente; Bailey; Lewis, Glenn;  
                   Mowery (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Dutton; Solomons (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HJR 2 
          
         The chair laid out HJR 2. 
          
         Representative Lewis, Glenn offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Chisum to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Lewis, Glenn to close on the  
         measure.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Driver moved that HJR 2, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Driver; Bailey; Lewis,  
                             Glenn; Mowery (4).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Dutton; Puente; Solomons  (3).

         The chair laid out HJR 29. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Jones, Delwin to explain the  
         measure.

         the measure.  
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.  
          
         At 3:19 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 3:24 p.m., April 3, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:28 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Driver. The roll was answered as  
         follows:

         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HJR 75. 
          
         Representative Bailey offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Mowery to explain the  
         measure.
