Pursuant to a notice posted on March 8, 2001, the House
Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Haggerty, at 2:01 p.m.

Chairman Haggerty recognized Dr. Tony Fabelo to offer testimony
on his report to the Committee entitled "Texas Correctional
Population Changes in Historical Perspective: Long-Term
Planning Issues to Consider". (See Attached Witness List)
