         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 25, 2002, the House  
         Committee on Corrections, Subcommittee on Interim Charge No. 3,  
         met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Ellis, Dan, at 2:00 p.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Ellis, Dan; Gray; Haggerty; Ritter  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee heard testimony from representatives of the  
         Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Community Justice  
         Assistance Division, TDCJ Parole Division and local Community  
         Supervision and Corrections Departments regarding probation and  
         parole fees, as outlined in Interim Charge No. 3.  (See attached  
         witness list) 
          
         At 3:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
