         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 15, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Hinojosa, at  
         2:15 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Fischer; Shields; Talton (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Dunnam; Garcia; Keel (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair explained the measures. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative McClendon to explain HB 30. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Turner, Sylvester to explain  
         HB 632.

         The chair recognized Senator Lucio to explain the intent of HB  
         30, HB 365 and HB 632.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Joe Deshotel.
