Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on February
5, 2001, the House Committee on Economic Development met in a
public hearing and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Solis, Jim, at 12:05 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Solis, Jim; Keffer; Clark; Deshotel;
Homer; Seaman; Yarbrough (7).
Absent: Representatives Luna, Vilma; McClendon (2).
A quorum was present.
The chair delivered his opening remarks and announced that the
purpose of this meeting was to consider invited testimony from
the various state agencies in the committee's jurisdiction.
