Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,
2001, the House Committee on Economic Development met in a
formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Solis, Jim, at 12:03 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Solis, Jim; Keffer; Deshotel; Homer;
Luna, Vilma; McClendon; Yarbrough (7).
Absent: Representatives Clark; Seaman (2).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 444.
Representative Yarbrough moved that SB 444, without amendments,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Solis, Jim; Keffer;
Deshotel; Homer; Luna, Vilma; McClendon;
Yarbrough (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Clark; Seaman (2).

The chair laid out SB 1732.
Representative Deshotel moved that SB 1732, without amendments,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Yarbrough (7).
Nays: Representative Seaman (1).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Clark (1).
At 12:04 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
