         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 6, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Lewis, Ron, at 8:04  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Williams (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Merritt; Carter; Christian; Hawley  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 1015 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1015, the Senate Companion to HB 2725, in  
         lieu of the house bill. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Driver to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Driver to close on the  
         measure.  
          
         (Representative Merritt now present.) 
          
         Representative Crabb moved that SB 1015, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Lewis, Ron; Merritt; Crabb;  
                             Driver; Kitchen; Williams (6).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

         measure.
