         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 10, 2001, the House Committee  
         on Human Services met in a formal meeting and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Naishtat, at 11:44 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Wohlgemuth (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Telford (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out SB527. 
          
         Representative Naishtat offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Villarreal, Mike moved that SB527, as  
         substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion  
         prevailed by the following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Naishtat; Chavez; Davis,  
                             John; Ehrhardt; Noriega; Raymond;  
                             Villarreal, Mike (7).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).

         At 11:47 a.m., on the motion of Representative Ehrhardt and  
         without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call  
         of the chair.
