         Upon final adjourn./recess

         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 24,  
         2001, the House Committee on Teacher Health Insurance, Select  
         met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Sadler, at 5:00 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Sadler; Marchant; Clark; Dutton;  
                   Ehrhardt; Gallego; Hochberg; Junell; Oliveira; Pitts;  
                   Smith; Telford (12). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Flores; Tillery; Wilson (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the April 11, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Teacher Health Insurance, Select be  
         corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without  
         objection. 
          
         (Representative Flores now present.) 
          
         HB 3343 
          
         The chair laid out HB 3343 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Sadler offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Ehrhardt moved that HB 3343, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:
