         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 13, 2002, the House Committee  
         on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Smithee, at 1:10 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Seaman (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Eiland; Getterman; Moreno, Joe E.;  
                   Thompson (4). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         (Representative Thompson now present.) 
          
         At 5:47 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
