         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 17, 2002, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a Joint public  
         hearing with the House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee  
         on Interim Charge #5, Return To Work, and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Tillery, at 8:46 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Telford; Williams (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Woolley; George; Rangel; Salinas (4). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         Work:
