Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,
2001, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Alexander, at 12:06 p.m.

Absent: Representative Pickett (1).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1128.
Representative Alexander offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Alexander moved that SB 1128, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Alexander; Hawley; Davis,
Yvonne; Edwards; Hamric; Hill; Swinford (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
