         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 23, 2002, the Joint  
         Select Committee on Public School Finance met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Senator Bivins, at  
         10:15 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Senator Shapleigh; Stiles, Mark; Thompson, David;

                   Representative Hochberg; Senator Ogden; Representative  
                   Oliveira; Olson, Lyndon; Representative Smith; Senator  
                   Van de Putte (8). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Sadler now present.) 
          
         (Representative Smith and Senator Van de Putte now present.) 
          
         (Representatives Hochberg and Dutton now present.) 
          
         (Senator Ogden now present.) 
          
         At 5:25 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
