                                 CORRECTED MINUTES 
                                           
         On May 9, 2002, the Joint Select Committee on Public School  
         Finance authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting  
         of the Joint Select Committee held on March 7, 2002. The  
         following are the corrected minutes for that meeting: 
          
         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 28, 2002, the Joint  
         Select Committee on Public School Finance met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Senator Bivins, at  
         9:10 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Senator Bivins; Representative Sadler; Caperton, Kent;  
                   Davis, Will; Foster, Craig; Representative Grusendorf;  
                   Senator Shapleigh; Representative Smith; Thompson,  
                   David; Senator Van de Putte (10). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Dutton; Representative Hochberg;  
                   Senator Ogden; Representative Oliveira; Olson, Lyndon;  
                   Senator Shapiro; Stiles, Mark; Senator West, Royce  
                   (8). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Dutton now present.) 
          
         (Representative Hochberg now present.) 
          
         At 12:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:05 p.m., March 7, 2002. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:06 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Senator Bivins. The roll was answered as follows:
