Amend Floor Amendment No. 1 to CSSB 22 by adding the 
appropriately numbered ARTICLEs to the bill and renumbering 
subsequent ARTICLEs accordingly:
		ARTICLE ____.  THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS

HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER AT SAN ANTONIO
	SECTION __.01.  In addition to other amounts appropriated to 
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for all 
or part of the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2003, 
for the purpose of supporting the Regional Academic Health Center, 
the amount of $19,161,612 is appropriated out of the general 
revenue fund to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San 
Antonio for the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2003, 
for the purpose of supporting the Regional Academic Health Center 
established under Section 74.611, Education Code, to serve the 
Lower Rio Grande Valley.
	SECTION __.02.  This Article takes effect September 1, 2003, 
if this Act receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected 
to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas 
Constitution.  If this Act does not receive the vote necessary to 
take effect on that date, this Article takes effect November 1, 
2003.
		ARTICLE ____.  THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS

HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER AT HOUSTON
	SECTION __.01.  In addition to other amounts appropriated to 
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for all or 
part of the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2003, for 
the purpose of completing building construction of the Regional 
Academic Health Center at the University of Texas School of Public 
Health - Brownsville Regional Campus, the amount of $2,000,000 is 
appropriated out of the general revenue fund to The University of 
Texas Health Science Center at Houston for the state fiscal 
biennium beginning September 1, 2003, for the purpose of completing 
building construction of the Regional Academic Health Center at the 
University of Texas School of Public Health - Brownsville Regional 
Campus established under Section 74.611, Education Code, to serve 
the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
	SECTION __.02.  This Article takes effect September 1, 2003, 
if this Act receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected 
to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas 
Constitution.  If this Act does not receive the vote necessary to 
take effect on that date, this Article takes effect November 1,
