R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The birth of Jackson Charles Saunders on June 11,
2003, represented a joyous and unforgettable occasion for proud
parents Charles Thomas Saunders and Edith Suzanne Sims Saunders;
and
WHEREAS, Making his way into the world at Seton Northwest
Hospital in Austin at 8:41 p.m., this welcome addition to the
Saunders household weighed in at a strapping eight pounds, one
ounce, and measured 20-3/4 inches in length at birth, and the joy he
has brought to the members of his doting family is truly
immeasurable; and
WHEREAS, With his highly anticipated arrival taking place
following both the close of the regular session of the 78th Texas
Legislature and the end of the school year, Jackson has already
demonstrated impeccable timing and thoughtfulness beyond his
years, for his father, Charles Saunders, serves as General Counsel
in the office of State Representative Peggy Hamric and his mother,
Suzanne Saunders, is a teacher at Deep Wood Elementary School in the
Round Rock Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning
personality as well, this adorable baby boy has indeed brightened
the lives of his entire family, including his devoted grandparents,
Barry and Ann Sims of Brownfield, Don Saunders of San Antonio, and
Ann Muffeny of Washington, D.C.; and
WHEREAS, Jackson will surely thrive in the loving embrace
formed by his parents, extended family, and friends--a circle that
will undoubtedly nurture this fine young Texan throughout his life;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby officially welcome Jackson
Charles Saunders as a new citizen of Texas and extend sincere
congratulations to Charles and Suzanne Saunders on the birth of
their beloved son; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Jackson and his family as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
