H.R. No. 8  



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Jose Carlos Guerra was honored as Gulfton's Citizen 
of the Year on June 18, 2003, by the Greater Southwest Houston 
Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, A most deserving recipient of this honor, this 
admirable gentleman teaches computer classes in English to 
Spanish-speaking adults; by generously volunteering to help people 
attain a vital skill, Mr. Guerra has earned the respect and 
admiration of innumerable students; and
	WHEREAS, Through his many good works, Jose Carlos Guerra has 
demonstrated great dedication to the people of his community, and 
his selfless service is a source of inspiration to all who know him; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jose Carlos 
Guerra on being named Gulfton's Citizen of the Year and extend to 
him sincere best wishes for continued success with all of his future 
endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Guerra as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
