R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The year 2003 marks the 50th wedding anniversary of
Fred and Pat Harrelson of Crane, and this significant milestone is
most deserving of special recognition; and
WHEREAS, The Harrelsons began their life as husband and wife
with the exchange of their wedding vows in 1953, and throughout the
ensuing years, they have shared a close and fulfilling
relationship; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of their five decades of marriage,
the Harrelsons have demonstrated a deep commitment to one another,
to their family, and to the institution of marriage; and
WHEREAS, This devoted couple celebrated their golden
anniversary among family and friends during a reception at First
United Methodist Church of Crane on June 22, 2003, and it is a
privilege to join with their loved ones in honoring their enduring
union; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Fred and Pat
Harrelson on the joyous occasion of their golden wedding
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes as they continue
their journey together; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Harrelsons as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
