R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and Charles and Betty Hannon of Midland commemorated 
this joyous occasion in their marriage with a trip to the Texas Hill 
Country; and
	WHEREAS, Charles Hannon married the former Betty Sue McDougle 
on May 1, 1953, in Hobbs, New Mexico; their union has been blessed 
with three children, Ted Hannon, Terry Hannon, and Brenna McCurry, 
and the couple have also seen their family grow to include eight 
treasured grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, After a half-century of companionship, Mr. and Mrs. 
Hannon still cherish their time spent together, and they continue 
to work with their sons in the West Texas oil and gas industry; and
	WHEREAS, This remarkable marriage has produced a fine family 
and many joyous memories, and the love Mr. and Mrs. Hannon share 
remains an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Charles and 
Betty Hannon on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them 
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hannon as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
