R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS,  John Jeremie O. Navarro of McAllen recently 
achieved outstanding success at the national SkillsUSA 
Championships in Kansas City, Missouri; and
	WHEREAS, Approximately 4,000 students compete in the annual 
event hosted by SkillsUSA-VICA, a national organization that seeks 
to provide quality educational experiences promoting leadership, 
teamwork, citizenship, and character development for students 
preparing for careers in technical, skilled, and service 
occupations; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Navarro advanced to the national competition 
after ranking first in the statewide contest, and he excelled in the 
postsecondary division of the electronics technology contest; and
	WHEREAS, Currently attending South Texas Community College, 
Mr. Navarro graduated from James "Nikki" Rowe High School in 2000 
and hopes to pursue a career in the field of electronics; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Navarro is a source of great pride to his mother, 
Janie, and his siblings, Jackie and Jaime, and he has distinguished 
himself as a young man of immense ability and potential; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate John Jeremie 
O. Navarro on his impressive performance at the national SkillsUSA 
Championships and extend to him sincere best wishes for success and 
happiness in all of his future endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Navarro as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
