R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Daniel Friend of Frisco has attained the rank of 
Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special 
recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant 
honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting 
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, 
Mr. Friend earned 23 merit badges and successfully completed his 
Eagle Scout project, for which he organized a team of volunteers to 
replace an old fence for a disabled couple; and
	WHEREAS, A member of Troop 1187, this fine young man has 
demonstrated outstanding ability throughout his scouting career; 
his dedication to excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of 
his goals have proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, 
and it is most appropriate that he be honored at this time; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Daniel Friend  
on his receipt of the Eagle Scout insignia and that he be extended 
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Friend as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
