H.R. No. 62 


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, University Kiddie Kollege in Marshall is celebrating 25 years of outstanding service to the residents of East Texas; and WHEREAS, Established by Zelma Phillips Thompson in 1978 to meet the needs of the local parents, the center serves students from Harrison, Marion, Morris, Cass, Gregg, and Panola counties; and WHEREAS, The dedicated staff of University Kiddie Kollege provide quality child care while helping preschool-age children to get an early start on their education; the program currently has an enrollment of more than 200 families and is working to make a significant contribution to the growth and well-being of each of its young charges; and WHEREAS, Throughout its proud history, this outstanding child development facility has never lost sight of its primary clients: the community's young children; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby recognize University Kiddie Kollege on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and commend its administrators and staff for their dedication to exceptional child-care service; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for University Kiddie Kollege as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
