H.R. No. 65 


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A number of individuals and programs in Brazoria County recently received recognition from Keep Texas Beautiful for their efforts to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of their community, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring their outstanding efforts; and WHEREAS, Among those who were recognized were Keep Lake Jackson Beautiful, Keep Pearland Beautiful, Keep Richwood Beautiful, Keep Angleton Beautiful, the Nature Habitat Club Wildcat Rangers of Angleton, Leon Sablatura Middle KIPPERS of Pearland, Grable's Grasshoppers of Brazoswood High School, the Lake Jackson Youth Advisory Commission, the Angleton Chamber of Commerce, The Angleton Times, BASF Corporation of Freeport, Katie A. Cardwell of Lake Jackson, Stephen Kahanek of Pearland, Pamela Smithart-Grable of Brazoswood High School, and Angleton's code enforcement officer, Ada Pierce; and WHEREAS, These outstanding citizens and program participants have demonstrated an impressive commitment to supporting litter prevention, public education, solid waste management, recycling, code enforcement, and city beautification, and this dedication has made important and lasting contributions to the Brazoria County area; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the men, women, and organizations who were commended by Keep Texas Beautiful and extend to them sincere best wishes for success in their continuing efforts to beautify their state; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for these recipients as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
