H.R. No. 74
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, May 20, 2003, was a day of special significance in
the lives of Robert Anthony Martinez Borja and Anna Lillian
Bryan-Borja, for on that day their daughter, Grace Olympia Bryan
Borja, was born; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Borja met at the LBJ School of Public
Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin; afterwards, they
moved to Washington, D.C., but returned to Texas to make their home
and raise a family; and
WHEREAS, The first Borja born in Texas, Grace weighed 7
pounds, 12 ounces, when she was born at 12:30 p.m., and her
long-awaited arrival has brought great joy to her family, including
grandparents Egbert and Remedios Borja and Stephen and Kathleen
Bryan, aunt Mary Turner, and uncles Eric Borja and David Bryan; and
WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a momentous event, and
it is a pleasure to formally announce the birth of this beautiful
new Texan and to honor her delighted family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Robert Borja
and Anna Bryan-Borja on the birth of their daughter, Grace, and
extend to them sincere best wishes for much happiness in the years
to come; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Borjas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
