R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for celebration, and on June 17, 2003, Don and Eloise Cunningham of Mineola marked this significant milestone in their marriage with a family dinner, and the couple plan to take a cruise later this year; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cunningham and the former Eloise Scott exchanged wedding vows in a ceremony on June 17, 1953, in Mineola; they continue to enjoy a warm and fulfilling relationship that serves as an inspiring model of mutual love, trust, and respect; and WHEREAS, Blessed with a fine family, the Cunninghams have three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Charles Hanger, Cindy and Rob Pfaff, and Traci and Tommy Kubaiko, and through the years, they have taken great pleasure in the welcome addition of seven grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Cunningham was employed with the Mineola City Hall and today volunteers with the East Texas Medical Center Quitman, while Mr. Cunningham is retired after a career with the United States Postal Service in Tyler; and WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have shared the trials and triumphs of five decades, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring them for their enduring union; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Don and Eloise Cunningham on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
