R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Original Willie B's Bar-B-Q restaurant in Alamo 
has earned honorable mention in Texas Monthly magazine's annual 
issue honoring the top barbecue joints in the Lone Star State; and
	WHEREAS, Owned and operated by Willie Gonzalez, Jr., Original 
Willie's BBQ features a succulent spread of sweet pecan-smoked 
meats, including classic brisket, meaty ribs, and spicy sausage, as 
well as country fare, such as chicken-fried steak and catfish; and
	WHEREAS, Original Willie's BBQ offers a selection of tasty 
side dishes and was singled out in the magazine's article in the 
category of Outstanding Side Dishes, Oddities, and Desserts for its 
delicious rib botana platter; and
	WHEREAS, Firing up his five barbecue pits and many a tastebud 
each day for the past decade, Mr. Gonzalez has earned a devoted 
following, and his restaurant is most deserving of its place among 
Texas' premier barbecue eateries; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Willie 
Gonzalez, Jr., and his Original Willie B's Bar-B-Q restaurant on 
its selection for honorable mention by Texas Monthly magazine in 
its annual barbecue issue and extend to Mr. Gonzalez best wishes for 
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
