R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Lora Darden of Cactus Ranch Elementary School has 
been named a 2003 Round Rock Independent School District Teacher of 
the Year, and this outstanding educator truly exemplifies the 
qualities associated with this great honor; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Darden was one of two selected from 2,380 
instructors to receive the prestigious award; blessed with a warm, 
caring demeanor, she creates a welcome atmosphere for her fifth and 
sixth grade students, who regard her classroom as a safe and 
comfortable environment in which to conduct their studies; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Darden has proven to be an exemplary teacher who 
has made an immeasurable contribution to the education of the youth 
of Round Rock, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring her tireless 
efforts in behalf of Round Rock's students; now, therefore, be it 
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Lora Darden on 
being named a Round Rock Independent School District Teacher of the 
Year and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in 
the classroom; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Darden as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
