H.R. No. 109
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Julia Weathersbee has been selected as a 2003
Teacher of the Year for Round Rock Independent School District, and
this impressive accomplishment indeed merits special praise and
recognition; and
WHEREAS, One of two teachers chosen to receive the
prestigious award, Ms. Weathersbee was selected from among 2,380
eligible educators in the district; and
WHEREAS, Julia Weathersbee, who is also known as "Señora W,"
has taught Spanish classes at Deerpark Middle School for the last 12
years, and her interactive and energetic teaching style has earned
the respect and admiration of fellow educators, students, and
parents alike; and
WHEREAS, This dedicated professional has committed herself
to equipping her students with the skills and knowledge necessary
for future success, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring her
tireless efforts in behalf of Round Rock's students; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Julia
Weathersbee on being named a 2003 Round Rock Independent School
District Teacher of the Year and extend sincere best wishes to her
for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Weathersbee as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
