R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Kimberly A. Sweeney has achieved a remarkable feat 
of athleticism with her run in the Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon on 
June 1, 2003; and
	WHEREAS, Distance running is among the most demanding of 
sports, and Ms. Sweeney demonstrated uncommon physical stamina and 
mental strength in completing the rigorous 26-mile course in San 
Diego, California, in only 5 hours, 11 minutes, and 1 second; and
	WHEREAS, To prepare for her first marathon, this dedicated 
young woman trained vigorously for four months and met the 
challenge of the Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon like a true champion; 
and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Sweeney showed tremendous commitment and 
determination in realizing this memorable goal, and she is a source 
of pride and inspiration to her family and many friends; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Kimberly A. 
Sweeney on her completion of the 2003 Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon 
and extend to her warmest best wishes for continued success and 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Sweeney as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
