R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The retirement of Sharon Pace from the Big Sandy 
Independent School District brings to a close the impressive career 
of an esteemed educator; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of Stephen F. Austin University and The 
University of Texas at Tyler, Mrs. Pace began her noteworthy tenure 
teaching English at the Big Sandy ISD in the 1967-1968 school term; 
and
	WHEREAS, Enjoying the friendships she has made with her 
fellow teachers over the years, as well as her associations with 
students and their parents, she has instructed two generations of 
some families and enjoys tracking her students' progress throughout 
their school years and beyond; and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Mrs. Pace has 
distinguished herself as an educator of immense ability and 
commitment, and it is indeed appropriate to pay tribute to her for 
her devoted service; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Sharon Pace on the 
occasion of her retirement and extend to her best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mrs. Pace as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
