R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On September 6, 2002, Ana Laura Barbosa and Alonzo 
Barbosa, Jr., were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby boy; 
and
	WHEREAS, On that day, the corridors of Valley Baptist 
Hospital in Harlingen, Texas, echoed with the cries of new life, as 
Marshall Allen Barbosa, who weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and 
measured 19.5 inches in length, entered this world; his highly 
anticipated arrival has brought great joy to his loving parents and 
two elated siblings, Nathaniel and Sarah Catherine Barbosa; and
	WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning 
personality, this charming little boy has indeed brightened the 
lives of everyone around him, including his doting grandparents, 
Delia Flores Gutierrez, Jovita  Ramirez Barbosa, and Alonzo Jesus 
Barbosa, Sr.; and
	WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a momentous event, and 
it is a privilege to join in celebrating the arrival of Marshall 
Allen Barbosa as a new citizen of Texas and to honor his delighted 
parents; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Ana Laura 
Barbosa and Alonzo Barbosa, Jr., on the birth of their son, Marshall 
Allen Barbosa, and extend to them sincere best wishes for much 
happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Barbosa family as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
