R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, December 22, 2000, was indeed a special day in the
lives of Laura and Patrick Duffy, for on that day they became the
proud parents of an adorable baby boy, Michael Tristan Duffy; and
WHEREAS, A wonderful early Christmas gift to his parents,
Michael made his long-awaited arrival in Houston during the festive
holiday season; now a charming three-year-old with chestnut hair
and sparkling blue eyes, his good looks are already making the
ladies swoon; and
WHEREAS, This beguiling boy's infectious laugh has made him a
delight to all who encounter him, with the possible exception of his
big brother, whom Michael likes to torment in the special way that
only little brothers can; and
WHEREAS, Very businesslike for his tender age, Michael knows
what he wants, where he's going, and how he'll get there; like the
Power Rangers he so admires, he will no doubt lead a heroic and
adventurous life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby officially welcome Michael
Tristan Duffy as a citizen of Texas and extend sincere
congratulations to Patrick and Laura Duffy on the birth of their
beloved son; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the family as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
