H.R. No. 178
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Bluebonnet Drama Club of Kingsville has been
serving its community since 1929, and it is a pleasure to recognize
this outstanding organization for its many civic and social
contributions to Texas; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding as a juniorette department of the
Woman's Club of Kingsville more than 70 years ago, the Bluebonnet
Drama Club has greatly enhanced the lives of generations of young
ladies in South Texas; through various community service, social,
and fund-raising functions, the club helps to equip its members
with the tools necessary for success in life; and
WHEREAS, Nearly 50 members strong, the Bluebonnet Drama Club
is currently under the guidance of its chairman sponsor, Diana
Ruiz, and its 2002-2003 officers: president, Chelsea Unterbrink;
vice president, Lauren Poland; secretary, Sarah Eckert; treasurer,
Amanda Palmer; reporter, Elizabeth Sabrio; parliamentarian, Sarah
Van Fleet; social chairman, Jenna Domino; community service
chairman, Amy Trochta; fund-raising chairman, Audra Rodriguez; and
telephone cochairmen, Jenny Vera and Laura Ruiz; and
WHEREAS, The Bluebonnet Drama Club of Kingsville is helping
to build a brighter and more promising future for its members and
for its community, and this fine Texas institution is truly
deserving of special legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend all those
associated with the Bluebonnet Drama Club of Kingsville and extend
to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
