SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 96
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Denise Davis, who was named employee of the month for
July, 2003, by the Houston Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Houston, Denise has served the
district at Mading Elementary School since 1982, when she began
working as office clerk; and
WHEREAS, Denise is an exceptional employee who has
a wonderful attitude and performs her duties with great
professionalism; she has excellent computer skills and is
extremely good in dealing with the public; and
WHEREAS, Her responsibilities include managing textbooks,
student records, and lunch applications; she also prepares daily
office correspondence, distributes fliers, makes copies of
documents, answers the telephone, and handles other office
needs; and
WHEREAS, An essential member of the Mading Elementary
School staff, Denise is highly regarded as a team player who
works with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
in a calm and quiet professional manner; and
WHEREAS, Denise is a highly valued employee and a splendid
example to others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Denise Davis
on her exemplary record of service at Mading Elementary School
and extend congratulations to her on her selection as the
July, 2003, employee of the month for the Houston Independent
School District; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
