SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 119
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Clarence Lee, owner of Lee's Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Q,
which has recently been named one of the top 50 barbecue
establishments in the state by Texas Monthly magazine; and
WHEREAS, Located in downtown Haslet, Lee's Hickory
Smoked Bar-B-Q is a small, cafeteria-style eatery where a
barbecue aficionado can enjoy excellent brisket, ribs, pork
loin, pork-and-beef sausage, beef hot links, and chicken; and
WHEREAS, The innovative barbecuing style that proprietor
Clarence Lee has established as his trademark is a hickory-stoked
rotisserie cooker that produces a less smoky flavor than traditional
pits; and
WHEREAS, Texas barbecue is one of the Lone Star State's
most treasured culinary delights, and Clarence Lee has originated
a barbecuing style that has guaranteed a return trip by many
satisfied customers to partake of its exquisite flavor; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate
Clarence Lee on the selection of Lee's Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Q
as one of the top 50 barbecue establishments in Texas; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
