No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend various portions of Occupations Code, Chapter 2301, that relate to the powers of the Texas Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Board, dealer licensing requirements, license renewal requirements, ownership and operation of dealerships, and contested case procedures relating to dealer licensing.

The Department of Transportation indicates the bill would have no fiscal implications.

The bill would take effect November 1, 2003.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
