H.R. No. 6
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Dallas Cowboys and the Bexar County legislative
delegation are hosting the Dallas Cowboys Legislative Day at
Training Camp in San Antonio on August 6, 2003; and
WHEREAS, The team kicked off this year's training camp on
July 24 and will endure a series of grueling two-a-day practices and
scrimmages before breaking camp on August 19; last year's camp
attracted almost 170,000 fans to the Alamodome, demonstrating the
high regard that Alamo City residents have for the team, and this
year's camp will almost certainly top that attendance mark; and
WHEREAS, Citizens of San Antonio have long supported the
Dallas Cowboys, cheering the team to five Super Bowl victories
during its illustrious existence, and with the addition of
legendary coach Bill Parcells to this year's team, the upcoming
season is indeed filled with great promise; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Bexar County legislative
delegation are proud to be affiliated with the Dallas Cowboys
Legislative Day at Training Camp in San Antonio and to share in the
enthusiasm and excitement that inevitably surround the team and its
training camp; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby welcome the Dallas Cowboys
to San Antonio and extend best wishes to the team for a successful
and memorable season.
