H.R. No. 8  


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, John and Harriet Rayl of Mineola recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, marking a golden milestone in their long and happy union; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rayl and the former Harriet Akin were married on June 27, 1953, in Kansas, and since that time they have been blessed with two devoted daughters, Marie Hensley and Patty Gorman; and WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, the couple resided in Lake Fork and Richardson before moving to Mineola; Mr. Rayl is retired from Atlantic Richfield, while Mrs. Rayl worked for Texas Instruments and in area garden centers; and WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Rayl have shared many happy times and cherished family memories, and their commitment to each other is a source of great pride to their family and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate John and Harriet Rayl on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rayl as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
