R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on June 29, 2003, James and Vickie Turner of Gilmer 
commemorated this joyous occasion in their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Wed in 1953, Mr. and Mrs. Turner celebrated this 
milestone in their relationship with a reception at First Baptist 
Church in Gilmer, during which time they reflected on their many 
years together with the couple's cherished family and many friends; 
and
	WHEREAS, The Turners have enjoyed a relationship built on 
trust, understanding, and mutual respect; they have demonstrated a 
deep commitment to one another and to the institution of marriage, 
and the love they share remains an inspiration to all who know them; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate James and 
Vickie Turner on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to 
them warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
